I believe that all children can learn; not necessarily on the same day or in the same way, but they all can learn if they are motivated, determined, and willing to try. I believe in the whole child. Every ounce of his or her being is valuable. I believe in teachers and their ability to nurture, empathize, and genuinely educate. I believe that "It takes a village" to raise a child. The Ella Flagg Young School Community is the village. I believe in the power of partnerships with parents and guardians. With these beliefs, the students of Ella Flagg Young will have opportunities to learn, grow, change, explore, make mistakes, make up for the mistakes, and eventually pursue careers and lifestyles that make them productive citizens and assets to the world.
